Why You Need Our Guide:
The best kept secret in China is its food. There are more regional Chinese cuisines than in all of Europe, and there is no better city for tasting them than Beijing. Unprecedented wealth has new restaurants opening daily, and the food is nothing like the stereotypical oily and bland stuff we eat at home. However, with the exploding economy come health dangers, and it is very important that travelers here are careful where they eat. The first time I visited China in 2003 I came home with six cavities - my first six cavities! My dentist had no ready answer but hypothesized some solvent in the water could have burned my enamel. I settled in China the next year, and have loved being an entrepreneur here. My latest project is to make the perfect Beijing restaurant guide.
Take a Safe Tasting Tour of Beijing:
The problems with eating in China are many, but the rewards make it all worth it. Chinese menus are complex and often cannot be translated. The best dishes are not on the menu. Beijing is huge, and street names change by the block. Streets often have no address, and where there is one restaurant there are ten, all marked only with Chinese characters. The tourist destinations are easy to find, but to find Chinese cuisine, you need my guide. I have thought of everything a traveler needs to eat the best and the safest, whether vegetarian, religious, or just on a tasting tour in Beijing.
